Job Description
The Practice director is responsible for profit and loss, providing overall leadership for existing program operations within the Treasury account as assigned, and for successful growth off the business base. In that capacity, the Practice Director is responsible for performance management, employee growth and development, and for establishing a solid succession plan throughout the organization. The Practice Director is also responsible for identification, positioning and pursuit of new opportunities in Treasury, in partnership with the Treasury Business Development Executive and other leaders within Unisys. It is expected that the successful Practice Director will cultivate strong customer relationships at the Executive Level at Treasury and will be viewed as a trusted business advisor by key Treasury decision makers and will at the same time forge strong internal relationships within other parts of Unisys.
Specific Job Responsibilities (Day to Day Duties):
Maintain program and financial accountability for all projects led and meet or exceed assigned financial metrics. This includes:
* Delivery within budget with timely payments received
* Profit that meets or exceeds bid profit
* Accurate financial and staffing forecasting
* Project Status Reports/Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly reviews as appropriate
* Accounts receivable and unbilled account management
* Identify methods to improve the delivery of service to the customer and increase satisfaction. Leverage industry best practices and lessons learned to improve delivery.
* Ensure timely (minimally interim and year end) and effective coaching and feedback for each of your employees
* Build diverse bench strength by focusing on the following areas:
* Identifying high performers and focus on their development and retention
* Introduce talent to the program. Ensuring the right resources are selected and leveraging our best talent pools
* Training/mentoring junior resources to become experts
* Build second team
* Manage staff out as needed

Required Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 15 years experience in the IT industry
* 10+ years experience managing project delivery in the Federal Government
* Working knowledge of CMMI, Agile development and ISO/ITIL best practices
* Active in Government/Industry partnership organizations such as AFFIRM, ACT/IAC and TechAmerica is desired
Preferred Experience:
* Demonstrated experience as a leader of IT infrastructure modernization and support and application development/modernization projects is desired
* Significant experience as a program/project lead is desired
* Current experience and relationships with Treasury leadership is desired
